He was predeceased by: his parents, William Crompton and Mary Alma Crompton; and his siblings, Mary DiCiacco, William L Crompton and Eunice Sommer.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Cindy Harris (Greg), Jeff (Christie) and John; and his grandchildren, Lindsey, Nicole, Garrett, Melissa, Kyle and Maria. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association in Eugene's memory.
