James W. Cookson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James W. Cookson of Tipp City, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Cookson and Charlotte Cookson. He is survived by: his brother David Cookson of Guilford, Maine; his sons, Cory Cookson (Kimberley) of Tipp City and Keith Cookson (Joanne Farrell) of Milton, Vermont; his grandchildren, Christina Eckley (Nathan) and Michael Cookson (Kelly); and his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Emma and Quinnley.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in James's memory to Parkinson's disease research and cure efforts.
