He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby McCorvey and Albert Stanton Sr.; his wife Christine Stanton; and his grandson Gervais Beach. He is survived by: his children, Shuna Smith of Memphis, TN, Ruby Beach of Toledo, Ohio, Albert Stanton Ill of Toledo, Ohio, Cynthia Smith (Wardell) of Memphis, TN, William Baker (Yvette) of Toledo, Ohio, Wade Baker of Toledo, Ohio and Alesia Young (Jaleo) of Toledo, Ohio; his close friend Cathy McCullough; and his pet Jewel. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church (3232 Nebraska Ave, Toledo, OH 43607). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery (1502 Central Ave, Toledo, OH 43606).
