She is survived by: her mother Melchora Cortez; her husband Sebastian Salas Jr.; her children, Rebecca Marroquin (Ed), Jose' Garcia (Joell), Jesus Garcia, Rose Marie Ullrey (Kevin) and Victoria Bergfeld (Gary); her grandchildren, Kaela, Isabella, Jessica, Alivia, Ed (Amber), Jose, Jordan (Courtney), Justin, Jake, Gabrielle, Adam (Rachel), Danielle (Sean), Ashley (Nick), Amber (Jason), Felix (Julie) and Stevie; her siblings, Luis Cortez Jr. (Sara), Velia Serratos (Henry), Irma Cortez and Lydia Diaz (Mario); and her siblings-in-law, Peggy Cortez, Juanita Cortez and David Hernandez. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freck Funeral Chapel (1155 S Wynn Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Amelia's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
