He was predeceased by: his parents, William Meldrum and Marion Meldrum; his wife Laura; and his brothers, Brian, Dick and Ronnie.

He is survived by: his son Brent Meldrum Jr. (Celestina); his grandchildren, Billy Glynn (Ke'An'a), Dustin Meldrum (Reba), Nicole Glynn (Nick) and Kelsey Meldrum (Marquis); his son Robert Johnston; his grandchildren, Leslie and Shawn; his stepdaughter Michelle Corbett (Jason); his stepgrandchildren, Jaylen, Mylee and Lyla; his stepson Larry Gray Jr.; his stepgrandchildren, Cassie and Larry III; his sister Beverly Weinsier; and his sibling's children, Scooter and Sassy.

“Amy and I always completely enjoyed every moment we shared with Senior. Conversations with Senior were a rollercoaster of fun. The many stories and hilarious jokes he shared had us on the edges of our seats every time. We would laugh untill our sides hurt. Our lives were brightened whenever we spent time with him. We were deeply saddened to hear if his passing. Memories of those good times will always put a big smile on our faces.”
