He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold VanBarg and Clara VanBarg; his son Alan VanBarg; his sister Joyce Henry; and his nephews, Tim McStay and Larry Henry.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy G. Mignery (Gerry); his children, Michael VanBarg (Judy) and Kathleen Anderson (Jim); his grandchildren, John Bland (Lea), Christie Hofmann (Erik), Stacie Holbrook (Sam), Michael VanBarg (Ashley) and Andrew Anderson; his great grandchildren, Jeffery Comes (Yaya), Nathan Bland, Isabella Hernandez, Bailey Holbrook and Bodhi VanBarg; his niece Brenda Craig; and his brother-in-law Robert Henry.
