He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamar Brown and Henrietta Brown; and his siblings, Gary Brown, Bonnie Richardson and James Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Sara Martinez-Brown; his children, Melody Godwin (Ben), David Brown (Susan), Daniel Brown-Martinez (Sarah) and Joel Brown; his grandchildren, Sierra Godwin, Romeo Martinez, Ben Godwin II, Jordyn Brown, Brady Brown, Bryce Brown, Isabella Godwin, Noah Brown Collingwood and Jacob Martinez; his siblings, Judi Kwiatkowski (Harry), Cindy Brown and Anthony Brown; and his friend David Killian. He is also survived by his family members and friends.
