He was predeceased by: his mother Caroline Szykowny (Stephens); and his pet Bud. He is survived by: his father Gerald "Jerry" Szykowny; his pet Coco; his siblings, Russell Szykowny (Jody), Paulette Szykowny (Graden) and Dawn Szykowny-Sommers; his great-niece Erica; his friends, Gunner, Kelly Neilson and Louis Snyder; Hannah, Abby and Tyler.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Nw Toledo Chapel (4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
