He was predeceased by: his parents, David E. Carner and Winona Thomas; his brothers, Timothy and Michael; and his nephew Roy Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Carner, Amanda Weissenberger (Derek) and Steven Carner (Shaun); his granddaughters, Serina and Alexandria; and his sisters, Vickie (Terry), Florence and Jayne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623).
