He was predeceased by: his parents, David A. McDaniel Sr. and Sarah E. Thompson; his uncle Jim; his aunt Dottie Thompson; and his son Joshua Lind.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Jane; his daughters, Brittany Hiner (Christian) and Amanda Shykes (Cody); his sisters, Phyllis Halt (Dave) and Sarah Krull (Jim); and his cousin Brian Thompson. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
