He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Whipple and Kathryn Whipple (Fisher); his brother Ronald, Sr.; his in-law Wilson Olmstead (Mary); his brother-in-law John Olmstead; and his nephew Ronald Whipple, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Deborah A. Olmstead; his children, David, Jr., Dana Zeller and Denise Zellers; his grandchildren, Tim, Nick (Irene Sauerwein), Sam, Mary Zeller, Drew (Lexie), Melanie (Connor Stevens) and Claire Whipple; his brother Michael Whipple (Colleen); and his caregivers, Matt, Ahmad and Drs. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
