He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald A. Getz and Helen Getz (Williams); and his wife Barbara Kaltenbach Getz. He is survived by: his children, Michael Getz, William Getz, Anne Marie Burgoine (Nigel) and David Getz; his grandsons, Erik Getz (Sam Zbikowski) and Alex Getz (Alyssa Miller); and his brothers, Gerard, Thomas (Chris) and James Getz (Beth). He is also survived by nieces and nephew, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (4100 Harvest Ln, Toledo, OH 43623). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (5725 Hill Ave, Toledo, OH 43615).
