He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patti" Meyer; his children, Richard "Ricki" Meyer (Katie) and Kimberly "Kimmy" Rush (Jake); his grandchildren, Cody, Paige Meyer and Lilly Rush; his siblings, Linda Newton, Steve Meyer (Pat), Debbie Braun, Laura Meyer and Joe Meyer (Linda); and his brother-in-law Noel Bush.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the National Parks Foundation or the Arbor Day Foundation in Doug's memory.
