He is survived by: his mother Charlotte Schiddel (Horn); his sister Christine Gouin (Schiddel); his sibling-in-law Dermot Forde; his nieces, Annalise Gouin and Elaina Gouin; and his pets, Koa and Chloe. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio and the Toledo Humane Society, organizations that reflect his caring spirit and love for animals.
