It is with sadness that the passing of Eugene Hoffmann of Toledo, Ohio is shared. Eugene, born on August 3, 1940, passed away on November 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Hoffmann and Margaret Hoffmann (Bodzar); his wife Mary Jo; his daughter Monica Ressler; his son-in-law Matthew Dickendasher; and his siblings, Rosemary Stroud, Bernadette Bosch and Godfrey "Fritz" Hoffmann.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Hoffmann, Elaine Dickendasher, Ralph Hoffmann (Amy) and Ben Hoffmann (Kelli); and his sisters, Joanne Steinbauer, Annette Corey and Mary Ann Schurrer (Philip). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reeb Funeral Home (5712 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560). A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Parish (5373 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560). A burial will be held on Monday, November 16th 2026 at the Resurrection Cemetery (5725 Hill Ave, Toledo, OH 43615).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of these or a charity of your choice.
