With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Marie Garrett (Toledo, Ohio), born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on March 25, 2022 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Long and Lillian Long; her grandmothers, Evelyn Johnson and Gertrude Earl Dobison-Johnson; and her aunts and uncles, Agatha Johnson, Mamie Johnson, Urban Kenneth Johnson, Osborne Johnson, Ronald Johnson, Sylvester Johnson and Agnes Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Preame Garrett of Lexington, KY; her children, Carla Medina (Edward) of Defiance, OH, Lemuel Carl Ligon of Saginaw, MI and Shermaine Ligon of Defiance, OH; her stepdaughters, Shreame Garrett (Henderson) of Chicago, IL and Kathrine Garrett of Lexington, KY; her siblings, Albert Johnson (Shawn) of Los Angeles, CA, Anthony Johnson (Shelley) of Lexington, KY, Levi Long (Anne) of Cape Coral, FL, John Earl Long of Sacramento, CA., Diane Wrenn of Bay City, MI, Sherri Campbell (Lonzo) of Cape Coral, FL, Barbara Toney (Babs) of Babcock Ranch, FL, Kathy Watkins of Saginaw, MI, Michelle Johnson of Kalamazoo, MI and Sarah Eldred (Mark) of Hudsonville, MI.; and her close friend Joanne Jamilah Bilal. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
