He was predeceased by: his parents, Elda Cauffiel (Bevard) and Joseph Lowell Cauffiel; his daughter-in-law Julie Cauffiel (Mueting); and his siblings, Lowell Cauffiel, Daniel Cauffiel, Wilma Dominque and Elda Krach.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Cauffiel (Hobbs); his children, Ford Tobey Cauffiel (Jaleh Hojat) and Sheree Lee Englehardt (Charles); his grandchildren, Justin Ford Cauffiel, Andrew Lowell Cauffiel (Maggie), Brandi Lee Pottinger (Mitchell) and Dustin Charles Englehardt; and his great grandchild Chloe Rose Pottinger.
