He is survived by: his sons, Frans C Casteels and Michael Casteels (Becky); his grandchildren, Kristen (James), Michael (Nicole), Janelle (Wyatt), Melissa (Benjamin), Amber (Bryce), Mark (Kortney), Lacey (Alex), Marianne, Shelby, Dora (Andrew), Tyler Michael (Angelia), Toni Rose (Drew), Patrick, Justin and Julian; and his siblings, Willem, Angele, Hattie and Leona. He is also survived by 39 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church (6149 Hill Ave, Toledo, OH 43615).
