He was predeceased by: his parents, David Schaefer and Mae Schaefer (Nelson); his siblings, Charles, Lillian, Richard, Robert John and Susan; his sisters-in-law, Pam and Elizabeth; his nephew David; and his son-in-law Michael Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Evie Woolworth; his children, Sandra Hill, Anita LaLonde (Glenn) and Eric Schaefer; his grandchildren, Michael (Tara), Kristopher, Matthew and Jennifer; his great grandchild Kohen; his siblings, Norita, Thomas and MaryBeth; and his sister-in-law Patricia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Lutheran Church (3215 Douglas Rd, Toledo, OH 43606). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blythefield Memory Gardens (6200 Brewer Ave NE, Belmont, MI 49306).
