He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Alex and Jane Alex. He is survived by: his wife Diana (Thielman); his daughters, Leslie Alex and Nikki Salmon (Jim); his grandchildren, Ricky (Catherine), Kaylee (Cody "The Marine") and Cody (Lulu); and his great grandchildren, Remington, Layna, Rori and Nora.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Alzheimer's Association, or the Toledo Firefighters Museum.
