He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Shope and Amy Shope (Duhl); his siblings, Joyce, David, James and Sandy; and his former wife Carol.
He is survived by: his husband Patrick Codden; and his siblings, Sue Shope-Donahue and Glen Shope (Kathy).
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel (1111 Woodville Rd, Millbury, OH 43447). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
