He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Shank and Thrilba Shank (Latta); his wife Mary; his son John Shank; and his siblings, Gene, Dick, Forrest Shank and Shirley Jacobs.
He is survived by: his children, Kathie Carlin (Bill), Connie Hertz Kunerth (Hale), Carol Sido (Tom), James Shank (Brenda) and Karen Peacock (John); his grandchildren, Amy, Angie, Jason, Jestin, Gabe, Bill, Adam, Gavin, Brendan, Erik, Abby, Matt, Keltin, Ashley, Collin and Carly; and his sister Patsy Guthrie (Bob). He is also survived by 35 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
