She is survived by: her husband James; her children, Melvin (Wanda), Debra (Charles), Sharon, James and Lorenzo (Stefanie); her siblings, Alice Jean of Amory, MS, Gussie of Amory, MS and James Lee; her sister-in-law Myrtle of Amory, MS; her grandchildren, Jeanita, Dennis, Melvin Jr., Keyonia (Edward), Tamekia (Andrew), Lorenzo Jr., James IV, Jameilla (Keith), Tyrece, Essence, Nikia (Sebastian), Darnell Sr. and Jovan; her great grandchildren, Tomeisha, Lorenzo III, Nathaniel, Jamia, Jasmine, Alaya, Ryan, Shaterra, Se'Ron, Aubrei, Darnell Jr., Ashtein, James Jr., Karter, Mariah, Greyson, Jovan Jr., Yasir, Jurnee, Armond, Royalti and Nai'Ari; her great great grandchild Dahmir; her extended family, Michael Chiles and Earl Hopings; and her adoptive daughter Wanda Taylor-Carter (Qwida Hubbard).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Resurrection Baptist Church (3360 Nebraska Ave, Toledo, OH 43607). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery (1502 Central Ave, Toledo, OH 43606).
