She is survived by: her mother Parlela King; her husband Cavanaugh Byrd; her daughter Irisha King; her siblings, Ollie King, Jr., Robert King (Yvonne), Vernon King, Tony King (Kathy), Cordelia Smith, Izetta Lee (Thomas), Deborah Haythorne, Francine Anderson and Portia Quinn; her nephew Kevin Lee; and her close friends, Kathy McCollum, Annette Hoskins and Clarissa Randolph. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the True Vine M. B. Church (739 Russell St, Toledo, OH 43608). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
