She was predeceased by: her parents, Wheeler Britter and Elvine Britter; and her sisters, Shirley Johnson, Kay Sudduth, Delores Hutchen, June Britter-Williams, Joan Nelson and Anita Harris.
She is survived by: her children, John Smoot, Jr. (Tammy) and Jabrea Spears (Te'Arle); her grandchildren, Shalayia Jackson, Jabrea Smoot, SaCora Smoot, John Smoot III, Te'Arle Spears Jr., Aaliyah Perkins and Braelyn Spears; her siblings, Kenneth Britter of Germantown, Gloria Smith of Toledo and Alonzo Jenkins (Pete) of Toledo; and her former husband John Smoot, Sr..
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sw Toledo Chapel (4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Friendly Missionary Baptist Church (1305 Parkside Blvd, Toledo, OH 43607).
