He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gardull and Betty Gardull (McCavitt); and his brother John Gardull. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gardull (Ford); and his daughters, Diane Gray (Gary), Karen Lewis, Harley and Emmy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Freck Funeral Chapel (1155 S Wynn Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at the Lake Township Cemetery (3550 Walbridge Rd, Millbury, OH 43447).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James' name to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 611 Woodville Road, Toledo, Ohio 43605.
