He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Haefner and Myrtle Haefner; his brothers, Richard and Robert Haefner; and his grandson Mark Haefner.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Haefner; his children, Lynn Malinowski (Brian) and Mark Haefner; and his stepdaughters, Julie Dibling (Ben Robinson) and Cindy Rall (Don). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 5 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home & Crematory - Sylvania (5155 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43623). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Toledo Memorial Park (6382 Monroe St, Sylvania, OH 43560).
