James L. Pavlis Obituary
We announce the death of James L. Pavlis (Toledo, Ohio), who passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 81. James L. will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James L. will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew James L. will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. James L.’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Pavlis and Lois Pavlis (Wood); and his brother David. He is survived by: his wife Linda; and his children, Jeanette Alcock (James), Vickie Pavlis and James Pavlis (Amy Swiniarski). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home (3000 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43613). A memorial service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
