It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gerald Thompson of Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin "Frank" Thompson and Gladys Thompson (Trammell); his wife Dottie; his son David Poling; and his siblings, Julian, Maxie Thompson and Sara McDaniel.
He is survived by: his children, James Thompson, Jr. (Rosel), Kimberly Spillman (Allen), Cheri Disher (Randy), Rebecca Thompson, Rachel Kufel (Gary), Daniel Thompson and Rae Lynn Simpson (Michael). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
