Jay M. Whatmore Obituary

He was predeceased by: his mother Janice Whatmore; his uncles, Richard Cochran and Thomas Whatmore; his aunt Judy Cybulski; his in-laws, Thomas Jacobs, Mildred Jacobs and Florence Jacobs; and his brother-in-law Tommy Lorton.

He is survived by: his wife Cherie Whatmore; his children, Christina Thomas (Jeremy) and Jason Whatmore (Katie); his grandchildren, Aubrey Thomas, Austin Thomas, Archer Thomas, Jonah Whatmore, Milo Whatmore and Stella Whatmore; his father John Whatmore; his sister Jodie Whatmore; and his pet Otis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other loving extended family.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Ottawa Hills Memorial Park (4210 Central Ave, Toledo, OH 43606).

His contributions to the industry were noted by many, but it was his vibrant personality that truly defined him.
