He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Rathburn and Dorothy Rathburn (Sindel). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen L. Rathburn; his children, Jennifer Besques (Richard), Joanna Thomas (Jason), Dana Riggs and Johnny Rathburn (Peggy); and his grandchildren, Denise Grover, Danielle Grover, Elizabeth Vesques, Leah Slagle, Lilly Gibson, Chelise Rathburn, Michael Riggs, Aubrey Gareau and Dominique Gareau.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in John's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
