He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. McQuillen, Sr. and Thelma McQuillen (McVicker); his brother Dan; and his daughter-in-law Noreen. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Pauly; his children, John B. (Tammy), Mary Roshak (Tim), Pat (Judy), Maureen Bishop (Jim), Tim (Kim), Rev. Tom, Molly Rose (Jeff), Amy Goulding (Mike) and Dan (Eva); and his siblings, Marilyn Schwiebold (Don) of Vista, CA and Roland (Gabrielle) of Dublin, Ireland.. He is also survived by 44 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
