He is survived by: his wife Mary Pat Boyer (Degnan); his son Joseph Boyer; his stepchildren, William "Billy" Henderson and Gina Henderson; and his siblings, Dolly Stevenson, Raymond "Peanut" and Robert "Skinny" (Frank). He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
