He was predeceased by: his parents, Florian Flayter and Harriet "Molly" Flayter (Piotrowski); his wife Edith Flayter (Rawlins); his son Randall Flayter; and his stepson Joseph Middaugh.
He is survived by: his daughter Rochelle Flayter; his stepchildren, Michelle Langschied (Tim), Jeffery Middaugh (Julieta), David Middaugh and Michael Middaugh (Maggie); and his sisters, Susan Michalski (Tom), Janice Clark and Linda Nordin. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
