Micah Thomas Vandergrift Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2020, at the age of 25, Micah Thomas Vandergrift (Toledo, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mike Vandergrift and Shelly Vandergrift; his grandparents, Thomas Okonski (Crystal), Earlene Yocum (Rich) and Burman Vandergrift, Sr.; his uncles, Jeff Okonski and Jason Okonski (Nicci); and his siblings, Cody and Brittany Vandergrift. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews.

Micah's family will receive friends during a time of visitation, with strict social distancing requirements, on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 4-9 P. M. at the Walker Funeral Home, where a celebration of his life will begin at 7 P. M. During this time of global pandemic, out of concern for their family and friends, the Vandergrift family kindly asks that those in attendance please wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to either The Nature Conservancy or to Paws and Whiskers Cat Shelter.
