He was predeceased by: his grandmother Virginia Evans; and his aunt Catherine Elaine Evans. He is survived by: his wife Akisha McCarter; his daughters, Micayla D. McCarter and Mariah N. McCarter; his parents, Angela Jones and C. Thomas McCarter (Leslie); his grandfather Percy Evans; his siblings, Matthew R. Underwood, Garrett Evans (Chantel), Jesse McCarter (Alexis), Eunique Jones and Amanda McCarter; and his aunts and uncles, Royce Evans (Marilyn), Lance Evans (Jackie), Michael E. Evans, Alicia Evans, Chijoyana Evans-Malone (Ken) and Ruben Daniels. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
