It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael William Shipman of Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shipman and Florence Shipman; his siblings, Patricia Krauss, Geraldine Loshbough, Charles Shipman, John Shipman and Francis Shipman; and his great grandchild Brooklynn Mckown.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shipman; his brother Daniel Shipman (Sue); his daughters, Colleen Oxenham (Mark) and Kim Wells (Bret); his grandchildren, Jessica Stokes (Jason), Jordan Mckown (Derick), Matthew Wells, Logan Wells (Caitlan), Taylor Kidd (Riley), Alex Matzinger and Brianne Oxenham (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Zachary Stokes, Madelyn Stokes and Zavier Walker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Walter Funeral Home (4653 Glendale Ave, Toledo, OH 43614). A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Heartland Hospice.
