He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Slawter and Ray Gremminger, Sr.; and his siblings, William Slawter, James Slawter, Linda Daly and Fleeta Lemay.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Gremminger; his children, Della Baker (Michael), Robin Gremminger, Ray Gremminger (Amanda) and Regina Shahan-Ritchey; and his siblings, Frank Evans (Thu), Helen Ketabian (Massoud), Cathy Meek (Jim), Doris Slawter and Cindy Cook. He is also survived by grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Ann Arbor Fisher House.
