He was predeceased by : his parents, George Meinen and Lillian Meinen (Balk); his son Steven Meinen; and his siblings, George, Jack Meinen, June Klempner and Lois Wagner.

He is survived by : his wife Carol A. Meinen (Kahn); his children, Robert H. Meinen, Jr. (Beth) and Valerie Meinen; his granddaughters, Jessica Payden (Michael), Kayla Norrgard (Jake) and Erika Meinen; his great grandchild Luke Payden; and his brother Richard Meinen (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer - Sw Toledo Chapel (4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
