It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Pawlak (Toledo, Ohio), born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on May 2, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Robert leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pawlak and Rose Pawlak; and his brother Tom Pawlak. He is survived by: his wife Barb Pawlak; his daughters, Amy Hannaford (Edward) and Abby Langenderfer (Ben); and his pet Laney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to athletics, Bob was inducted into the University of Toledo Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013, an honor that reflected both his talent and his dedication to the sport.
