He was predeceased by: his father Frank Petro; his brother Dan Petro; and his grandparents, Rose Petro, Esther and Walter Tarka.
He is survived by: his mother Kathleen Petro (Tarka); his pet Beau; his brothers, Robert Petro (Naomi Campbell) and Frank Petro (Jannette Osterhout); and his sister-in-law Amy Petro.
