He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Ward and Sam Ward; his former wife Carole; and his sister Shirley Branyan. He is survived by: his wife Initially; his children, Tim Ward (Roxanne) and Susan Mayberry (Scott); his grandson Micah Ward (Jess); his great grandchildren, August and Wesley; his grandsons, Ben and Timothy Mayberry; and his brother Toby Ward (Sherron).

In celebration of Fritz, the family suggests contributions to Northwest Ohio Hospice or the Toledo Humane Society.
