She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Hart and Julia Hart (Beebe); and her husband Lucian Zakrzewski. She is survived by: her son Michael Zakrzewski (Danielle); her grandchildren, Isabella Lause, Haley Palicki (Joseph McCauley) and Noah Palicki; her great grandchildren, Lorelai and Luna; and her brothers, John Hart (Ladonna) and Tom Hart (Sharon). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Ruth may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or the Roman Catholic Diocese of Toledo.
