She was predeceased by: her parents, Milan Stancel and Helen Stancel (Angus); and her husband Rick. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Heather Sexton and Craig Sexton (Alessandra); and her brother Thomas M. Stancel (Jeanne).

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (2224 Dorr St, Toledo, OH 43607).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Victory Center of Toledo, The Toledo Humane Society, or The Toledo Community Foundation DAF the Susan Sexton Trust.
