With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Esmond (Toledo, Ohio), born in Paris, Tennessee, who passed away on May 6, 2020 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest B. Stubblefield and Willie May Meadows Stubblefield; her nephew Glenn Stubblefield (Joyce); her siblings, Paul B., Albertus Stubblefield (Jake) and Mavis Richardson; her husband James Johnson; and her daughter Brenda J. Stockard.

She is survived by: her former husband Morris Esmond; her siblings, Christine "Tinye" Perkins and Richard Stubblefield (Gloria); her grandson Steven Stockard; her son-in-law Dr. Herbert Stockard M. D.; and her siblings-in-law, Lois Jones and Robert Jones (Beverly).

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and social distancing requirements, Virginia's services were private.
