He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hartung and Marion Hartung (Beman); and his brothers, George, Lyle and Bob Hartung.
He is survived by: his wife Ann L Hartung (Besesky); his children, Kurt Hartung (Debra), Bradley Hartung, Katrene Achterhof (Ralph), Debbie Corbin (Rex), Tony Hartung (Lynn) and Vikki Dunbar (Bryan); his grandchildren, David, Jessica, Mikey, Jenny, Mandy, Brandy, Emily, Shane, Wyatt, Megan, Beth, Courtney, Ashley, Kennedy, Jacob and Kristopher; his great grandchildren, Lydia, Leila, Nathan, Luna, Everleigh, Isaac, Jude, Skyler, Alden, Camden, Maxton and Gideon; and his brother Richard Hartung (Maryann).
