With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anna Irene Blanch Downen of Toronto, Ohio, who passed away on July 9, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Anna may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Anna touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Benjamin McEwen and Avanelle McEwen (Guess); her husband Rickie Alan Downen; her son James "Bo" Downen; and her granddaughter Terra Joy McDonald.
She is survived by: her daughter Wendy Lynn McKee of Irondale; her grandchildren, Ted A. A. Davis (Michelle) of Toronto, Samuel D McEwen Abdalla of Toronto and Melinna Star Monroe (Andy) of Rutland, OH; her great grandchildren, Lilly, Sophie and Hunter; and her son-in-law Ted Davis. She is also survived by her daughter, grandsons, granddaughter, great grandchildren.
