He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy I. Black and Bertha Black (Cooey); his wife Virginia Black (Graham); and his great grandchild Ethan Downing. He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Anderson (Allan) of Columbus, OH and Karen Downing (Joseph) of Wheeling, WV; Susan Clegg. He is also survived by four grandsons and ten great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Foster Funeral Home (701 Findley St, Toronto, OH 43964). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
