He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Stanley (Settles); his children, Carolyn Smithson, Gary Jr. and Aaron Stanley; his stepdaughters, Shellie (John Burge) and Sherrie Westfall; his grandchildren, Dylan Fink, Sylar and Amsley Malcolm; and his close friend Buddy.
