We bid farewell to John Wherry of Toronto, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 28, 2025 at the age of 82. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chauncey Wherry, Sr. and Edna Wherry (Wilkinson); his wife Frances Wherry (Fowler); and his brothers, Chauncey Wherry, Jr. and Fritz Wherry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Stuck (Mark) of Toronto, Melanie Owen (Scott) of Cincinnati, OH, Maureen Taggart (Fred) of Toronto and Melissa Wherry of Toronto; his siblings, Mary Jane Elsesser, Kathie Neidermeyer, Pamela Stetor and Mark Wherry; his brother-in-law Harry Fowler; his grandchildren, Mark Edward Stuck (Shawne), Lauren Brooke Weintraub (Daniel), Erin Taggart (Nicole) and John Wherry (Kylea); and his great grandchildren, Preston, Lucas, Koby, Makiah, Lexie, Miley and Landon.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Foster Funeral Home - Toronto (701 Findley St, Toronto, OH 43964). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Teramana TEAR Fund.
